We have a new closing date; our initial closing date was pretty aggressive, and fast. So not much is new other than we must give the appraiser three weeks (!?) to finish that task and then it's time to take care of the legal bit. This is where we develop cramped hands from all the finger crossing.
I was minding my own business the other night when an unfamiliar number showed up on my cell phone. A young woman, a massage therapist, was calling to ask about future positions with us. It was so impressive. Some people wait for their dreams or opportunities, and some people chase them. This girl is a doer. We handed out a business card to a second massage therapist who is interested in some part-time work. A colleague told BK that his stepdaughter, a stylist, was unhappy in her current situation and would be contacting us soon. It's incredible. And flattering. And humbling. Even though we are just getting started, have never done anything remotely like this, people have faith in us and our vision. Next, the fun stuff: we've found our candle supplier! Check out this link-love and try to resist: thebeautyofhopecollection.com/ I can't say enough good things about their company philosophy and their giving back. Kristina, the CEO, has been in email contact with me for about two weeks now, answering questions, getting things going, being patient and helpful. She's involved, invested, amazing. As soon as the testers come in, I'll be wagging them around with me to let everyone smell them and to help support one of the most worthy causes. We will definitely be carrying this brand, but don't wait for our brick and mortar building to open up. If you are moved to make a purchase, do it! Comments are closed.
